I am so thankful that God allowed me to read this. We are planning on checking out Boquete in Dec. for the very purpose you have written. My husband, Jim Schryver, is a missionary with Crown Financial Ministries and we are hoping to work there in the near future. I will try to locate Selah now that you have told me about it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this information so we can meet these wonderful likeminded people.
Please tell me did you end up living there?
Blessings,
Crystal Schryver

Certainly, the picture of the beech is inviting and brings to mind some of the waters in Saint Lucia (windy with surf). I am glad to once again read your adventures in Panama. There was a period of time in January that I could not seem to link to the web site. Certainly, glad that you are "officially" retired. I know that it took me several years to accept that fate or better stated that new chapter in life. Best wished to you and Lynda

Ken,

It was great being able to catch up with you and your new life in Panama via your blog. It sounds like you and Lynda are living the life daily that once was reserved for the occasional cruises. I am glad that you are enjoying yourselves. Praying for you.

So glad that you are back! How am I to enjoy a cup of coffee or two each week (okay really I mean a pot or two each week) before I start "work" in the mornings without your wonderful account of life in Panama to read!? Keep writing!

You sound so full of life. And the fact that Lynda is singing again! What a true "gift" from God! It is amazing for me "hear" you as you describe your daily adventures. You are evolving my friend.....into what God had destined for you from the time you were a twinkling in His eye.
When you reflect back over your life, it should be amazing as to the paths you have embarked upon, the trails and tribulations you have endured, the joys, the sorrows, the laughter, the tears, all of the things God has allowed you to experience, all the things He has brought you through, only to bring you to Panama with the love of your life. He has been preparing you for such a long time sweetie.
In reading your blogs, I hear a very educated "child" telling the world about all the new things he is seeing, hearing, learning and experiencing. It is absolutely refreshing and ALIVE!!
I have to say I miss you and Lynda so much. I miss your quirky sense of humor and I miss Lynda's gentle, soft, loving voice. I miss the encouraging words and the support in the difficult times. It is truly different when you can't just pick up and drive 15 minutes to get a warm hug (yes, you have learned to do that you know).
I guess I will have to be patient until Woody and I can get to Panama and spend some QUALITY time with you guys. In the meantime, keep smiling because I know you are, keep living life to its' fullest, and keep soaking up all the blessings God has for the two of you. His hand is upon you Ken and Lynda Newton! I love you and miss you much. Take care and we'll talk soon.

Great story... we practically feel we are there with you exploring the shopping in David. Wish I could be there to help translate a little. I too can relate about needing to be a better listener...especially when someone is speaking a foreign language.

Now a question... Cuando comiendo sus huevos frescos? (Mini-Spanish lesson.. which my sentence structure may be a bit rusty... but I like to call it..."functional" Spanish)... Losely translated, I'm asking you... "When are you going to eat your fresh eggs?"

P.S. A great website for translating words between english and spanish or a few other languages is... www.wordreference.com

Buena Suerte mis amigos! (Good luck my friends)
